Cookie list

Looks like it's getting to be that time of year again!  I'm getting my list together for cookies this year.  Usually, I go with about three or four standby recipes and one new one.  Over the years I've had a bunch of great recipes.

For this year, I'm planning the following list:
Chocolate chip (duh)
Sugar (the soft ones)
Peanut Butter (some with jelly, too!)
Ginger

Not sure if I want to do one more.  This year it turns out that I'll have some help baking but I think fewer recipes with more quantity may be the trick.  Opinions?

I get burned out by baking pretty easily, especially if it's all one kind of dessert, so maybe add something different in there, like a pie? I think I'm making one cookie recipe, at least one pie, and possibly something else, like biscuits.

I can just burned out by baking, but with someone helping it's easier. Honestly, I'm great with cookies. I haven't really done much with anything else. I'll do brownies from a mix, and pumpkin pie once a year.
Maybe one of these days, I'll find a good pie recipe that I feel fairly confident trying without fear of catching the kitchen on fire. ;)

I just made super easy chocolate cookies that are a MAJOR hit with the boys and myself. As for a pumpkin pie- I have a great recipe for that, too

What kind of chocolate cookies, Libby? I usually use the recipe on the Libby's Pumpkin Pie filling can.

i found an easy chocolate cookie recipe too, uses a box cake mix. they're like "chocolate drop" with chunks of choc.
Pumpkin is expensive this year, the crop was bad most places. Too wet.

They are from the Ghirardelli website. They are Chocolate Truffle Cookies with a dash of sea salt on them. They were so easy and so YUMMY! For real- addicting. My go to cookie recipe for chocolate cookies now. And they were so easy to make. Let me know if you want the recipe

Jane - Any more cookie recipes are always great to add to the list!

Libby - I'll look into that one.

So it looks like I'm going to try oatmeal raisin. I found a yummy recipe from Quaker Oats.
